An old school question here: does anyone know if the Psion SIBO C SDK still available anywhere?
I had the chance to buy it a few years back and didn't jump at the opportunity -- how foolish!
Haven't got a copy here. Chris Jakob (of this parish) is supposed to be sourcing all these old downloads.... Chris?
In case it helps, here follows a copy of the 3.5" disks that shipped with the SIBO C Professional SDK
SIBO C SDK v2.10 - Disk1 (SDK core parts).zip
SIBO C SDK v2.10 - Disk2 (Optional components).zip
SIBO C SDK v2.10 - Disk3 (CLIB source components).zip
SIBO C SDK v2.20 (Upgrade).zip
This said, as you will read in the below PDF document, you will need to get and install a copy of the Clarion TopSpeed C compiler prior to installing and using the SIBO C SDK
SIBO C SDK - Installation instructions.pdf
I do hope this helps.Kind regards,
Thanks Steve, Thanks Jacques. That's a great help.
Now, what else was in the SIBO C Professional SDK? As I recall there was a hefty binder with all sorts of documentation in it. Do I remember that correctly or am I thinking of something else?
According to the Programming Psion Computers book by Leigh Edwards:
SIBO C SDK documentation
"Version 2.20 (February 1997) of the SIBO C SDK documentation consists of nineteen manuals, in four volumes, covering a wide range of features of the SIBO architecture and development system..."
General Programming Manual
HC Programming Guide
Series 3/3a Programming Guide
Workabout Programming Guide
EPOC O/S System Services
Additional System Information
Window Server Reference
I/O Devices Reference
The SIBO Debugger
Programming in HWIF
Object Oriented Programming Guide
Does anyone know whether this was ever converted into electronic documents (e.g. PDF)? Or where I could obtain a copy now?
Thanks folks. The Psion machines and community never cease to amaze me. :)
that's right. The volumes were generally included in the SIBO C SDK package. Unfortunately, I don't know if these volumes exist in any electronic form. May be, Chris can help. Possibly our distributor Warok can help also. It could be that they have still a complete SIBO C SDK in their cellar. Contact Mr. Sturm, firstname.lastname@example.org, he is the technical guy of Warok.
How Jacques mentioned, You need the Clarion Topspeed Compiler V3.1 to use Psion SIBO C SDK.

Where can the Clarion Topspeed Compiler V3.1 be obtained from? I've got someone else emailing about this too. Can it still be obtained / bought / downloaded?
you can download from here: www.warok.de/downloads/SIBO_C_SDK.zip
I have taken the files.
This is not Professional edition. It is only Standard one.
