We are using licensed Tekterm 8 (its actually a windows tekterm setup) on windows embedded devices using IBM 5250 Direct to host connections with a single non changeable Virtual Device name.
We have an issue, when the user loses network connectivity and when he restarts/resets the software while still logged in to the 5250 session the user wont be able to connect anymore. Tekterm displays the message: Terminal 1: Device Name not available. The only solution for us is to loginto AS400 and kill the session.
Is there a way or key combination to let tekterm restart on a correct way so that the session is killed on AS400 as well? We have some devices using rfterm and there we can use the ctrl+shift+D and ctrl+shift+C and the user can log back in with no 'device name in use or available' message.
